At the end of the beach you will see the most amazing natural Forest. This Woodland, a protected area, starts near the main road into Cala Agulla and extends down to the beach and coastline. This is the perfect place to cool down, especially in the hot summer months, with the trees providing welcome shade. At the end of the trail you will find some tiny quieter coves.

You can walk to the beach through the Forest or if you prefer to take the car, you can drive alongside the footpaths which lead to the designated car park. There is a parking fee during the Tourist Season. The beach is also accesible by foot from the main road Avenida Cala Agulla.

In the Cala Ratjada area there are several other excellent beaches. Cala Gat, a beach close to the harbour, has turquoise blue waters and a small sandy bay. A new pedestrian walkway has been built linking this beach to the Harbour.

Son Moll is a fairly large beach on the opposite side of the Harbour from Cala Gat. This beach has Sunbeds, Parasols, Pedalos and Lifeguards.

Having a car enables you to visit some other nearby beaches such Cala Mesquida and Playa de Canyamel.

The picturesque Harbour is one of the few remaining operational fishing ports in Mallorca. You will see the fisherman daily bringing their catch to the Port and later mending their vast nets.

Various boat trips can be arranged from Ticket-Tour offices in the resort or from the Harbour. A ferry operates from Cala Ratjada to Menorca with a regular timetable.

From the harbour it is also possible to hire a private boat for a day, look out for the signs.

We recommend taking a walk along the Pedestrian Promenade from the Harbour to Son Moll where you will find a variety of Restaurants specialising in fresh fish. If you walk a little further along the coastline, you will eventually reach the town of Font De Sa Cala which has a small sandy beach and some shops.
