However, unfortunately due to the economic crisis, many budget airlines and tour operators have reduced the number of flights to Palma airport and cut many of the routes in Winter 2011 altogether.

This was extremely harsh on tourism in Palma and throughout the resorts of Majorca. We hope that some flight operators re-instate some of the winter routes in 2012/2013.

Cruise and Fly

Some tourists visiting Palma de Mallorca have enjoyed a Mediterranean cruise during the first week of their holiday. When they arrive at the Port they are transferred from the Cruise Ship, normally by the tour operator, to a Palma City Hotel or a resort such as Magaluf, Palmanova, Puerto Pollensa or Cala Bona. These tourists spend the second week of their holiday in their chosen resort before heading home on a flight from Palma Airport. You can arrange this

type of holiday with many tour operators.
