Cycling and watersports of all kinds are popular in the area, in fact you will find a Wind Surf school directly on the beach as you approach the town from the Alcudia direction.

Originally a small fishing village, the town has grown slowly and steadily over time to cope with demand in tourism. In previous years visitors to this area were mainly from Britain however today you will find Germans, Skandinavians, French, Eastern Europeans and more recently Russian tourists.

A few kilometres inland is Pollensa Village where you will find the 'Ajuntament' local goverment offices (municipality). On the Ajuntament website you will find local events, links, and information on the local fiestas.
