TIB ISLAND-WIDE BUSES
TIB Buses, Transport Islas Baleares, provide a reliable public transport service to all destinations across Mallorca. The Company have just invested in a smart fleet of new style buses most of which operate on natural gas.
They offer a multitude of routes enabling locals and visitors to travel around the Island at a relatively low cost.
Connecting the Island of Mallorca
TIB Station
Estacio Intermodal Palma is the underground Station at the Plaza de Espana where TIB Bus, Train and Metro operate.
There are 2 underground levels.
From the pedestrian ground level at the Plaza, there is an escalator which takes you to the 1st lower level where you can buy your ticket for the Bus, Train, Metro.
This 1st lower level also has a supermarket, cafe, luggage storage and bike hire.
From this level you descend to the 2nd lower level where you can board the various transport options for rail, metro or bus networks. There is direct access by stair or escalator to the numbered bus lines. Access to trains and metro is via turnstiles to stair or escalator.

TIB Bus Routes
TIB Islandwide bus route connect almost every Town, Village or Resort throughout Mallorca. Their extensive service can also be mixed with train or metro in several locations.
The routes are divided into 5 main areas with 54 routes in total:
Zone 1 - Ponent - South West area including Magaluf, Peguera, Andratx
Zone 2 - Tramuntana - North West area including Valldemossa, Soller
Zone 3 - Raiguer-North area including Inca, Manacor, Alcudia, Can Picafort
Zone 4 - Levant - North East area including Arta, Cala Ratjada, Cala Millor
Zone 5 - Mitjorn - South to South East area including Cala d'Or, Colonia San Jordi
They also operate 4 direct routes from the Airport to popular tourist areas from May - October.
For local buses within Palma use the EMT service which also operate a regular City shuttle from the Airport

Cash Payment on Bus OR Bank Card Debit or Credit Contactless
You can pay in cash for your journey on the bus however the price is much more expensive. It not possible to combine the single trip with other routes.

Cash from 3.00
euros (Bank notes up to 20)
Bank Card Contactless
from 1.80 euros (plus further discount of 15c per person up to 5 people travelling in the same group, paying with the same card)
The recommended form of payment is by bank card contactless and this method allows you to change the route or combine with train or metro at a reduced price. You must validate the card on entry and exit otherwise there is a 0.30c penalty.
