Markets in Mallorca
Weekly Markets are held in most Resorts, Towns and Villages throughout Mallorca. Some Markets are fairly large where you will find everything from home grown produce such as cheeses, honey, olives, traditional sausages (sobrasada) to sunglasses, clothing and bags (designer of course). Some of the smallest Markets held in Villages sell produce only such as meats, fruit, vegetables and flowers.
Olives Selection Sobrasada and Serrano Ham
Transport
Many areas throughout Mallorca have a local bus operating on Market days. TIB Buses operate some additional market day routes. Taking a taxi can be a good option as it can work out cheaper than public transport when 2 or more people share the cost.

L'Olivar Market Mallorca Stalls in L'Olivar
We recommend a visit to the Municipal Markets where you can choose from a great range of Mallorcan fresh fish, meats and home grown produce. The quality is amazing and you will find everything is sold at very reasonable prices. The largest and most well-known are L'Olivar in the centre of Palma and Santa Catalina east of the City beside the Historic Centre. Most of the markets have cafe areas indoor and outdoor where you can enjoy a snack or a drink from one of the stalls. You will also find some other Municipal Markets in the larger Towns.
Municipal Market times vary - approx 0600/0700 -1400/1600 Monday - Saturday.
