The Resort - Getting there

Palmanova, a magnificent all-round resort just 25 minutes from the Airport, is perfect for couples and families. It boasts three superb blue flag beaches with fine golden sand, magnificent wide promenades and plenty of things to do within easy reach. The resort is situated between Puerto Portals and Magaluf in the South West of Majorca.

To get there take the Route Aerotib Resort Bus Line A11 direct from Palma Airport. If the bus times do not match with your flight arrival time you can take the Airport No1 Bus to Plaza de Espana station and then look for TIB Bus 104,105 or 106 to the resort.

Alternatively take the more relaxed form of transport, a taxi or book a Private Airport Transfer Bus.

See all transport choices available on the Island.

Although a much less lively resort than neighbouring Magaluf, Palmanova has a lot to offer with its superb accommodation and great places to eat.

The resort is particularly popular with families with school age children during July and August when schools break. In early and late season you will find many Spanish and British pensioners enjoying cheaper off-season holidays with cooler temperatures.

Local Grocery Provisions

A large Eroski Supermarket is on the outskirts of the resort and another small Eroski City is in the main street, Avenida de la Playa.

You will also find a Mercadona supermarket in nearby Son Caliu plus an Aldi Supermarket in Magaluf.

Throughout Palmanova you will find small stores selling basic food, drinks and snacks. If you are in the mood for some serious shopping, you could take the local bus or taxi to Palma to explore the popular spanish shops in the City such as Zara, and Mango.

If you would like to visit a nearby Market, check our market days guide for all the options.

The jewels in the crown in Palmanova are most definitely the pristine beaches cared for by Calvia Ajuntament (council).

The three beautiful beaches, Playa Son Matias, Playa de Palmanova and Playa Es Carregador, are magnificent with marvellous fine golden sand and crystal clear waters. All have been awarded the 'BLUE FLAG' which denotes that the quality of both the beach and the water is regularly checked and kept to a very high standard.

The three beaches are easily accessible from the smart pedestrian walkway. This together with the fact that Palmanova is mainly flat attracts many disabled visitors. You will find assisted bathing available for those with special needs.

At the end of Es Carregador Beach you can enjoy taking a walk around the little Port.
