Fuel prices in Majorca

Car Rental is one of the best transport options for getting around the Island and there are some great deals available particularly when reserving in the low season or in advance.

Tourists often prefer having a car for the duration of their holiday rather than using public transport. There are many car-hire companies operating from Palma Airport and throughout Mallorca. You can book direct online or you can hire when you need transport in a resort. You will find many models to choose from all at different prices depending on the season (low / high).

The roads around the Island are generally in very good condition and clearly signed however they can be very busy during the Summer months.   Many hire-cars now come with navigation assistance (GPS) and if not make sure that you have a detailed and up to date map. There are plenty of garages around the Island and some are open 24 hours. Once you get used to driving on the right hand side of the road, it's easy!

Car Hire

Unless you intend to use a car for touring Majorca - avoid paying for a full tank of fuel when collecting the vehicle.

Opt instead to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel, this can save a considerable amount of money

Only park in designated parking areas. Never leave the vehicle on a yellow line or restricted zone.

If you do this, you run the risk of being towed away with a huge penalty fine to be paid to the Ajuntament (Municipality) to retrieve the car
