You have several options to get around the Island of Mallorca, from car rental, booking a private shuttle bus or using Public Transport Buses and Trains.

Renting a car is one of the most versatile ways of getting around the Island. Although this can be an expensive method of transport, there are some good deals to be found online, particularly during low season.

There are two types of Public Transport Buses operating in Mallorca, EMT and TIB.

From Palma Airport - EMT Airport to City and S'Arenal, TIB to Resorts.

From Palma Plaza de Espana - EMT City Urban, TIB Islandwide - throughout the Island.


Privately owned Transfer Buses - pre-bookable Airport shuttles or other journeys also ideal for groups.

You can take a train from Plaza de Espana Intermodal Station, Palma to Inca, Manacor or Sa Pobla. It is a good method of transport in Mallorca with bus links from many of the train stations for onward journeys. The Metro operates to the University, Marratxi plus Festival Park and the Vintage train takes you to Soller.

Travelling by taxi in Mallorca is easy and fairly inexpensive, especially if you are travelling as a family or group. You will find taxis at the Port and also at the Airport as you exit from the arrivals hall. There are normally designated areas in each resort or town where you will find the taxi rank.
