The Beaches and Pinewalk
The bay of Pollensa is very wide and long with the beach (just under 4 kilometres) running alongside the resort. It is a little narrow at the beginning with a few rocky points until you reach the start of the long stretches of fine golden sand.
Pinewalk Beach area Calm, clear waters
Some of the Hotels provide sun-beds for their guests on certain parts of the beach. You will see private property owners bringing their own beach chairs and setting up alongside the shade of the pine trees. Although the smaller beach areas can be particularly crowded in July and August, they are preferred by many because of the excellent views across the bay.
Lifeguards on duty Beach Volleyball
Lifeguards are on duty daytime at various points along the main beach and you will find plenty of sunbeds, parasols etc for hire. Alongside the usual pedalos for hire, you will find Kite, Windsurfing and Kayak lessons available and if you are feeling energetic you could use the public Volleyball net!
Pinewalk Illa D'Or Terrace
The Pinewalk is very enjoyable for a stroll, especially in the evenings when tourists and locals tend to take a walk after dinner. Because of the volume of pine trees, it is best to have some mosquito repellent handy after dusk.
