The resort of Sa Coma is in the municipality of Sant Llorenc and has been expanding since the 1980s due to high demand for holiday accommodation.

Sa Coma is separated from the nearby tourist resort of Cala Millor by Punt de n'Amer which is a protected area of headland of almost 200 hectares. The beautiful white sandy beach has a Blue Flag and its shallow water is particularly popular with families especially those with young children.

Sa Coma Beach


If you walk along the pedestrian sea-front promenade, you will arrive at S'Illot, which is a smaller and quieter resort.

You will find two Chemists one on the main street, Avenida de Las Palmeras and the other near the Hotel Mediteranea Blau. There is a large Eroski (chain supermarket) Hypermarket, the largest on the East Coast, where you can buy everything from food shopping to electrical goods and even furniture. Weekly Market

Weekly MarketThe resort holds a weekly market which is held from 1900 on Wednesdays during the Summer months. Alternatively you can visit the market in the nearby town of Son Servera on Friday mornings.

At this market you can buy the usual sunglasses, leather goods etc and also the local sausages (Embuits) or cheeses.

Car Hire

Car hire is easily available in the resort from one of the tour/ticket Offices or from one of the many Hotels.

If you prefer you can arrange car hire on the internet for collection when you arrive at Palma Airport.

    Cala Millor and Cala Bona

The nearby resorts of Cala Millor and Cala Bona are very accessible.   You can walk from Sa Coma although most people opt to travel by car or taxi. You could also take the local bus or use the little train which links the resorts

together. This runs several times a day

    Golf Paradise

The Golf Paradis is a 36 hole mini golf (2 x 18 holes) set in water cascades, tropical gardens and boat rides for children. There is a windmill where drinks are served. La Reserva, is a large lagoon style swimming pool with various water slides. The entrance fee can include food.


Porto Cristo 

Porto CristoYou could visit nearby Porto Cristo, a small traditional spanish town. The scenery is beautiful and there is a lovely little beach. You can also enjoy a walk around the Marina where there are many restaurants to choose from.

A small market is held there every Sunday morning.



Safari Zoo Park 

Zoo Park

From Sa Coma you can visit the Safari Zoo Park. This is an enjoyable day out but watch out for the baboons jumping on your car bonnet! If you prefer not to go around by car, a train operates around the Zoo Park itself with various stopping points. There is also a Zoo train operating throughout the resort regularly collecting tourists who wish to visit the Park.


Caves of Drach

Caves of DrachTourists can enjoy a trip to the Caves of Drach in Porto Cristo or Caves at Arta which are a short drive from Sa Coma.

Tickets for the caves can be arranged from Ticket Offices or you can reserve with a tour operator in one of the Hotels. You can also buy tickets at the caves entrance.



Alcudia Waterpark

Alcudia WaterparkIf you enjoy Waterparks, you could take a bus to the Alcudia Waterpark or arrange the trip with a ticket office or tour operator in one of the Hotels.

You could also visit the resort of Alcudia while you are there, see more


If you prefer to visit the waterparks in the south, Aqualand or Western Waterpark, you can also arrange this trip with the ticket offices or travel independently by car or bus.
