Soller Train Journey - Ferrocarril Station
The Soller train operates from the Ferrocarril Station on a separate ground-level railway track directly beside the entrance to the Intermodal Station at the Plaza de Espana, at Eusebio Estada 1, 07004 Palma.
There is a ticket office and small cafe serving drinks, snacks and takeaway food for the journey.
When you board the carriages of the train you feel a real sense of history, especially when the train departs with the old fashioned whistle blowing as it makes its way along the railway line.
There are a few local stops along the way. The first is at Son Sardina, before reaching the town of Bunyola. The train then continues into the mountainous Tramuntana region (Sierra de Alfàbia), through 13 tunnels, over several bridges and the 5 point Soller Viaduct. The scenery along the twists and turns of the mountains is breathtaking and because of the slow pace of the train, you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the views.
When you reach Soller Station you can take the connecting Tram to Puerto Soller or perhaps first enjoy a coffee in the in one of the lovely cafes at Plaza de Constitucio beside the famous Church of Sant Bartomeu.

Freshly caught fish would be packed in ice and sent to Soller before being distributed to other towns and villages around Mallorca.
The Tram has 12 stops before reaching the final destination at Puerto de Soller - La Payesa. See timetable for details.
